An advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a holder of a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law, Wangu has considerable commercial law knowledge and experience garnered from being part of an in-house legal team for a leading financial institution as well as private practise in leading law firms in Nairobi.
She has experience in drafting and registering commercial agreements, project finance contracts and banking security documents. She has also represented various developers and individuals in conveyance transactions such as leases, sales, transfers, sub-divisions, amalgamations and change of user of both residential and commercial property.
She has successfully incorporated and restructured various kinds of companies domiciled both locally and internationally. Wangu has acted as legal counsel for various local and international nongovernmental organisations and societies.
Notably, she was part of a team that drafted subsidiary legislation on pension and provident funds in Kenya.
